Oil and gas production increased in Kazakhstan in January 2009, statistics agency of Kazakhstan reported.
"In January 2009, 5,294,400 tons of crude oil were produced in Kazakhstan, an increase of 11.4 percent compared to January 2008. Gas and condensate production in January 2009 totaled 1,001,800 tons, which is an increase of 5.3 percent compared to the same period of the last year," the same source said.
During this period, 3030.6mln cubic meters of gas were produced, an increase of 10.5%.
