OPEC projects increase in Azerbaijani oil shipment in 2009

OPEC forecasts that the Azerbaijani oil shipment will be increased by 180,000 barrels and reach 1.05 million barrel daily in 2009. This figure is lower by 23,000 barrels than OPEC's forecast in 2008.

OPEC's February report says that Azerbaijan's oil shipment in the first quarter of this year will hit 1 million barrel daily, 1.06 million barrel in the second quarter, 1.05 milliojn - in the third and 1.1 million barrels in the fourth quarter.

The Kazakh oil shipment will be increased by 100,000 barrels and will reach 1.52 million barrel this year. This figure is higher by 38 barrels than OPEC's forecast for the previous month. The maximum oil shipment in 2009 will be observed since the fourth quarter up to 1.61 million barrels daily.

The total oil shipment of non OPEC countries will be of 50.89 million barrels daily. The figure is lower by 0.55 million barrels compared to 2008.
