Minister: Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant not to be sold to Russia

The Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PPP) in Kazakhstan will not be sold to the Russian side, Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev has said at a regular parliamentary meeting today.

"There is no plan to sell the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant to Russia," Mynbayev said.
Kazakhstan has three oil refineries, including the PPP, which technologically oriented on the processing of raw materials from oil fields in Western Siberia.

Every year PPP receives about six million tons of the Russian oil, which strongly affects the prices of fuel products in the domestic market of Kazakhstan.

Earlier, several media outlets reported about the sale of 50 percent shares to the Russian companies, among which Rosneft, TNK-BP and others were listed.
