Three new gas stations under the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) brand will be commissioned in Baku's suburbs, a source in SOCAR said.
According to the source, two gas stations located 14 km from the Baku-Sumgayit Highway and a gas station in the Lokbatan settlement are ready for commissioning.
"All the three gas stations are ready for operation and their opening ceremony will be held soon," the source said.
In total, SOCAR intends to open 26-30 gas stations in Azerbaijan. Investments in the gas station's construction have hit 20 million manat.
SOCAR Petroleum shareholders are SOCAR (51 percent) and the American A.P. International (49 percent). SOCAR Petroleum was registered on Jan. 21, 2008.
