The Future Growth Project (FGP) at the Tengiz field in Kazakhstan is under coordination between the partners, Local Content Development Manager at LLP Tengizchevroil, Marat Dauletyarov said on Tuesday.

"FGP of the Tengiz is still at the coordination stage between the project partners," Dauletyarov said, addressing the Conference "Kazneftegazservice-2012".

He said by launching this project, the volume of oil production will increase from 25 million to 36 million tons per year.

Recently, public hearings were held in the Kazakh city of Atyrau on the preliminary assessment of the impact of the third plant called a future growth project on the environment. FGP construction will involve 16,000 people.

The depth of the Tengiz field is 3810 m, width - 19 km, length -21 km, oil mass thickness -1.6 km.

In 1993, the Kazakh government established LLP JV Tengizchevroil jointly with the Chevron. Today the partners are four companies: JSC NC KazMunayGas (20 percent), Chevron Overseas (50 percent), Exxon Mobil (25 percent) and LukArko (five percent).
