Kazakh Aktau Port tranships over 7 mln tons of cargo in Jan.-Nov.

The Kazakh Aktau International Sea Commercial Port transhipped 7.05 million tons of oil cargo in January-November 2012 compared to 6.41 million tons in the same period of 2011, the Port's website reported on Friday.

The Kazakh Aktau International Sea Commercial Port has transhipped over 8.03 million tons of oil cargo in 2011 compared to over 9.56 million tons in 2010.

Some oil transhipped through the Aktau Port is transported to Baku, from where it is supplied to the Black Sea Port of Georgia via railway.

In particular, in January-November 1.34 million tons of the total amounts of handled cargo accounted for hardware, 842,000 tons ferry cargo, 570,500 tons of grain and 350,000 tons - other goods.

More than 4.07 million tons of dry goods were handled in 2011 compared to about 3.25 million tons in 2010. In particular, the port transhipped 2.01 million tons of hardware, 1.43 million tons of ferry cargo, 303,000 tons of grain and 322,000 tons of other cargo.
In total in January-November the port handled 10.15 million tons of cargo, which is 7.2 percent more than the forecasted.

The Kazakh Aktau International Sea Commercial Port has transhipped a total of 12.1 million tons of oil and dry cargo compared to more than 12.8 million tons in 2010.

In January-November, Aktau port received 1,709 ships.
