In the first quarter of 2013, the cost of implementation of contracts and purchase orders in projects in Azerbaijan operated by the British company BP amounted to $503 million, the BP's report on the results of operations in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of this year says.
According to the report, the cost of contracts of small and medium-sized enterprises (270 units) totaled $ 189 million, state-owned companies (22 units) - $ 40 million, joint ventures with domestic partners (12 units) - $128 million. Expenditures of foreign contractors in the country in January-March amounted to $ 146 million.
$620 thousand were spent on social responsibility projects. In particular, expenses on the development project of 'Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli' offshore fields block and Shah Deniz' field amounted to $80 thousand each, and on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi- Erzurum pipelines - $ 150 thousand. On its own social responsibility projects, BP spent $310 thousand.
