Iran signed an agreement with French Axens Company to jointly produce catalysts used in petrochemical and refinery complexes.

The Iranian Exirnovin Farayand Asia and Axens agreed to cooperate in production of catalysts under a joint brand, the oil ministry's official SHANA news agency reported Jan. 31.

Under the agreement signed on the sidelines of a meeting between Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and French President Francois Hollande in Elysee Palace, Paris on Jan. 28, the produced catalysts will be delivered to Iranian and regional petrochemical and refinery complexes.

Iran's Exirnovin company currently supplies various domestic petrochemical complexes and refineries with homemade catalysts.

Iran and France signed some 20 MoUs during Rouhani's visit to Paris to cooperate in various sectors including tourism, agriculture, aviation, transportation, communications and industry, as well as healthcare, environment, higher education and water management.
