OPEC basket price rises

The price of OPEC basket of fourteen crudes stood at $41.84 a barrel on Nov.15, compared with $40.94 the previous day, according to the cartel’s website.
The new OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Rabi Light (Gabon), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
The oil futures rose on Nov.16. US benchmark crude was up 23 cents at $46.04 a barrel at 07:04 GMT. Brent futures, the global benchmark, rose 28 cents to $47.23. They settled up 5.7 percent at $46.95 a barrel in their largest percentage gain since Sept. 28.
