Capital expenditures on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline totaled $19 million in January-September 2017 (compared to $41 million in the same period of 2016), says a BP Azerbaijan report for the three quarters of 2017.
Operational expenditures on BTC amounted to about $101 million in the period as compared to $87 million in January-September 2016.
About 26 million tons (193 million barrels) of oil were transported via BTC in January-September 2017.
From June 2006 to October 1, 2017, 374 million tons (about 2.8 billion barrels) of oil were exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
Total length of BТC is 1,768 kilometers, including a 443-kilometer section running through Azerbaijan, a 249-kilometer section in Georgia and a 1,076-kilometer section in Turkey. Construction of the pipeline started in April 2003. It was filled with oil May 18, 2005.
