Russian holding company "Tempo" is in talks with Azerbaijan state company SOCAR on delivery of pipes in the amount of 400 million rubles, Tempo's Export Sales Director Nazim Yunusov told Trend May 30 on the sidelines of the International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition.
"We performed the last request of SOCAR in 2017. It assumed delivery of 2,500 tons of pipes. The cost of the request was 300 million rubles. Today we are going to discuss with SOCAR representatives participation in the next project, which involves the supply of 4,000 tons of pipes. We do not yet have information about where these pipes will be used. The cost of the request can be about 400 million rubles," Yunusov said.
Yunusov noted that, in general, the company intends to expand cooperation with SOCAR.
"Our cooperation with SOCAR is at the initial stage. However, we are glad to have started working with such a large company. We also monitor tender sites, and monitor oil and gas companies. And in general, the Azerbaijani market is very interesting for us, and we are talking not only about energy, but also about other sectors, in particular the construction sector," the representative of the company said.
"Holding Company (HC) "TEMPO"” JSC is one of the largest industrial concerns in Russia. Each enterprise of the holding company is independent and produces products oriented to the needs of various sectors of the economy. Today, the holding has several enterprises, as well as its own logistics company. The companies produce electrical equipment, particularly motors, generators, and steel structures, construction bars, and pipes of various kinds.
The official exchange rate of the US dollar against the ruble, announced by the Bank of Russia on May 30, 2018, is 62,6420 rubles/US dollar.
