French oil and gas consulting and software solutions provider Beicip Franlab will help Uzbekneftegaz to create a National Oil and Gas Database (NDB), where the company intends to participate as an independent contractor to provide database development and training services, and also as a consultant for the commercialization of the project, the Uzbek company announced.
The corresponding discussions took place during the meeting of Associate Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov with CEO of Beicip-Franlab Jean Burrus preparation for the official visit of the president of Uzbekistan to France.
The sides are considering scientific support for geological exploration and study of oil and gas potential of investment blocks in Uzbekistan with the possible involvement of the French side as an independent auditor and expert in a number of directions.
The spheres of interest include evaluation of proposals of the leading oil and gas companies for exploration and increasing of hydrocarbon production in Uzbekistan, as well as preparation of proposals for oilfield development projects in Uzbekistan.
Beicip Franlab specializes in scientific support of geological research, independent assessment of reserves, consultations in development of oil and gas fields, solutions to optimize production and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as development of appropriate software for geological and geophysical research.
The company operates in more than 100 countries and has nine international divisions in Moscow, Paris, Algeria, Kuala Lumpur, Rio de Janeiro, Houston, Villahermosa, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, etc.
In January-August 2018, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France amounted to $195.1 million, of which $117.3 million accounted for exports from Uzbekistan, and $77.8 million for imports from France.
