During the past three months, the draft proposals on the development and commissioning of Iran’s oil and gas fields have been discussed by Iran’s Reservoir Management Advisory Committee, ISNA reported.
Thus, a proposal of Russia’s Gazprom for the development of the North Pars Gas Field was investigated. The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum said the draft proposal from Gazprom on the North Pars Gas Field was reviewed by the Committee members.
The North Pars Gas Field is located 120 km southeast of Bushehr, 10-15 kilometers north of the Persian Gulf. The first well was drilled there in 1965 and sour gas was found.
The proposals of three companies for development of the Susangerd field were investigated as well. The proposals are from the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), Petro Iran Development Company (PEDCO), and Pars Petro Zagros Company.
Susangerd is located 20 km southwest of the Ahvaz oil field. The field was discovered in 1962.
Also, two foreign companies' proposals on the Esfandiar oil field were discussed. Esfandiar is located 95 km southwest of the Kharg Island and 30 km northwest of Forouzan Field. The field was discovered in 1965.
The Committee also considered the development projects of the Cheshmeh-Khosh, Dalpari and Paydare-Sharg deposits, submitted by Russian Zarubezhneft.
The supreme economic council of Iran also approved the request of the Oil Ministry on Sept. 17 on the development and commissioning of the Sepehr and Jufair oil fields. These two projects were licensed by the National Iranian Oil Company.
