Kazakhstan increases oil output

Oil production in Kazakhstan in January-October 2018 amounted to 63.9 million tons, which is 6.2 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Kazakh media reported referring to the Statistics Committee of the National Economy Ministry.

In the reporting period, gas condensate was produced in the volume of 10.7 million tons (down by 2.7 percent year-on-year), natural gas - 45.7 billion cubic meters (up by 5 percent), and coal - in the amount of 95.2 million tons (up by 5 percent).

At the same time, iron ore was mined in the amount of 35.5 million tons (up by 10 percent), copper ore - 85.5 million tons (up by 6 percent), gold ore - 17.7 million tons (up by 4.7 percent), and chrome concentrate - in the volume of 4.1 million tons (up by 8 percent).
