KBR plans to expand its presence in Kazakhstan

KBR, the US engineering, procurement, and construction company plans to expand its presence in Kazakhstan, the company told Trend.

KBR said it has a long history of working in Kazakhstan and the wider Caspian region.

“During the Kashagan PMSC Contract, our Atyrau office had 260 employees, 70 percent of which were national employees. In particular, we have been closely involved with Kashagan over many years and most recently were awarded a Master Service Agreement by NCOC (North Caspian Operation Company),” said the US company.

KBR said it has also undertaken the CC01 Value Engineering Studies in 2017 which created significant economic value for the project and are currently undertaking Kashagan Phase 2 Assess and Phase 3+ Identify studies.

“During 2018 we have been performing Kalamkas standalone Pre-FEED activities as well. Currently we are planning grow our presence in Kazakhstan with our local partnership strategy,” said the company.
