The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) will implement the plan to develop 28 reservoirs under 27 EPC and EPD contracts in autumn, said CEO of NISOC.

"The plans were drafted during last Iranian year [started March 21, 2018], while contracts of developing six reservoirs were signed in February," said Ahmad Mohammadi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Currently, drilling process within two other contracts have started, the preparation for installing oil well is underway, and implementation of two other contracts will start in autumn," he added.

"The tender winners of another seven contracts were identified, and the contracts will be signed by September 22. According to the plans, all 27 contracts are to be awarded in autumn," he said.

In May 2018, the National Iranian Oil Company issued a certificate to develop 27 reservoirs under the contracts for development of Ghale Nar oil field, and then their numbers was increased to 28 reservoirs.

It is predicted that the development of 28 reservoirs will include implementation of 124 surface projects, drilling of 282 new wells, repair of 143 wells and 165 operations on wells.

By carrying out these works, 80 drilling wells that include 60 development wells and 20 repair wells will start operating in Iran's south oil fields and increase the production. The estimated credit for the development of reservoirs is around $4.6 billion.
