Iranian Ministry of Petroleum to build 2 plants in Kermanshah province

Iranian Ministry of Petroleum will build a new petrochemical plant and Anahita oil refinery in western Kermanshah province before March 21, 2020, Governor of the province Houshang Bazwand said.

Bazwand made the remark at a press-conference in Iran, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

“The issue related to the construction of the Anahita oil refining remained unresolved,” the governor said, adding that 67 percent of the plant belongs to a company operating under the Ministry of Petroleum, while 33 percent - to the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum itself.

Bazwand added that the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum will also build a petrochemical plant in Iran’s Islamabad-Gharb county.

"The state will invest about $550 million in the plant," the governor said.

The shares of the Anahita oil refiniry previously belonged to two Iranian ministries, namely the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Labor, Cooperatives and Social Welfare.
