Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas national company (KMG) and Russian’s Tatneft agreed on introduction of Tatneft’s best practices in oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KMG.
The corresponding roadmap was agreed upon by the Chairman of the Management Board of KMG Alik Aidarbayev and the General Director of Tatneft Nail Maganov. The deadline of implementation of the activities within the roadmap is 2020.
Within the framework of the meeting, which took place in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan, parties talked ways for partnership organization, including establishment of joint venture in Kazakhstan.
The agreement was reached that specialists from Russia's Tatarstan will analyze efficiency of KMG’s existing operational system, standartization of manufacturing processes, will consult on the issues of supervision of wells maintenance introduction, organization of the work of diagnostics and flaw detection, ecology audit.
Tatneft, which has significant experience in developing oil fields with hard to extract reserves, will actively cooperate with KMG in development of Eastern Moldabek field via Steam-assisted gravity drainage technology.
Within the framework of the roadmap, the issue of the possible participation of Tatneft in Kazakh fields’ development will be considered following provision of geological, technological and economical information on the mature fields.
