Iran's Bistoon thermal power plant generates over 3 million MW of electricity

Iran's Bistoon thermal power plant, located in the country's Kermanshah province, generated over three million megawatt hours of electricity in the first nine months (from March 21 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports with reference to the website of Iran's Energy Ministry.

Mirza Asghari noted that the electricity generation increased by 21 percent in the reported nine-month period, compared to the same period last year.

The preventive repairs and their correct timing resulted in the increase of electricity generation, the director said.

Over 400 megawatt hours of electricity were generated in the steam units of the plant in the ninth month (from Nov. 22 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year, which indicates 26 percent increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
