Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produced 900,000 tons of products during 10 months (from March 21 through January 20) of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Executive Director of the company Reza Qasemi Shahri said.
Shahri made the remark in Iran at the event in the company, Trend reports referring to the Young Journalists Club.
“The company is situated in the Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone in Iran’s south-western Khuzestan province,” the executive director said. “Some 95 percent of the company's products were sold in the local markets during 10 months of this Iranian year.”
“An increase in the company's production output was observed during four months since the beginning of this Iranian year,” Shahri added. "By the end of the year (March 21, 2020) the production volume is expected to reach such a volume as during last Iranian year (over 1 million tons). These products are used in the downstream industry.”
“The work on the single superphosphate (SSP) facility of the company is underway and 450 tons of products will be manufactured per day,” Shahri said.
“After the commissioning of this facility, bottle grade will be produced and the needs of the local market and the companies will be met,” the executive director said.
"The company is ready to produce new bottle grade and after the production of these products, the company's revenue will increase," the executive director said.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produces purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
The company launched its activity in Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone covering 34 hectares in 1998.
