The volume of oil and gas condensate production by Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas (KMG) company amounted to 23.6 million tons in 2019 which almost equals production volume in 2018, Trend reports with reference to KMG.
The volume of natural and associated gas production increased by 3.9 percent in 2019 and amounted to 8.4 billion cubic meters.
KMG's share in oil and gas production of mega fields (Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak) amounted to 8.1 million tons (178,000 barrels a day) and 5.8 billion cubic meters, respectively.
Thus, KMG’s share in oil production of the Tengiz field increased by 4.1 percent compared to 2018 and amounted to 5.9 million tons (130,000 barrels a day) and in gas production increased by 4.2 percent to 3.2 billion cubic meters.
KMG’s share in oil production of the Kashagan field increased by 6.9 percent to 1.1 million tons (25,000 barrels a day) and gas production increased by 10.4 percent to 700 million cubic meters. The report said that the peak gross of oil production at Kashagan reached around 400,000 barrels a day in 2019 and the average daily production for the 4Q2019 amounted to 344,000 barrels a day.
KMG’s share in liquid hydrocarbon production of the Karachaganak field decreased by 7.3 percent year-on-year to 1 million tons (22,000 barrels a day). Gas production decreased by 1.6 percent to 1.8 billion cubic meters.
KMG’s share in oil and gas production of operating assets was slightly down and amounted to 15.4 million tons (307,000 barrels a day) and 2.6 billion cubic meters, respectively.
KazMunayGas (KMG) is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
