Kazakh KazMunayGas subsidiaries sign various agreement to substitute import

Subsidiary companies of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas (KMG) National Company have signed a number of agreements with Kazakh goods manufacturers in order to implement activities on import substitution, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KMG.

The agreements were signed on Feb. 28, 2020 within the framework of the forum for support of local manufacturers.

Within the framework of the program of support for creation of new ventures by signing offtake agreements, subsidiary companies of KMG – KazTransOil and Atyrau refinery signed agreements with Kazakh ventures.

Thus, KazTransOil signed a memorandum on cooperation with Kazakh KARLSKRONA LC AB company on possible supply of pumps for main pipelines. The pumps will be tested and the test results will be reviewed by the expert commission before the offtake agreement signing.

In turn, Atyrau refinery signed an offtake agreement with Zhaik Petroleum company on long-term supply of methanol in the volume of 70,000 tons worth 11.2 billion tenge ($29.5 million) over the period from 2022 to 2024.

KMG is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
