Equipment for the Zerger gas turbine power station will be delivered to Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Yokogawa Electric Corporation.
The order was received from Renaissance Heavy Industries, which is building this power plant in Turkmenistan. This is the first project of Yokogawa in this country to supply control systems to a power plant.
Zerger power plant produces electricity by consuming local natural gas. The power plant is the main supplier of electricity to Afghanistan. It is located in the city of Turkmenabad in the Lebap region about 600 km northeast of Ashgabat.
Yokogawa will supply the CENTUM VP integrated production management system, DPharp EJATM series pressure and differential pressure transmitters, and YTA610*2 temperature transmitters.
Yokogawa opened a sales office in Turkmenistan in August 2015. Yokogawa Turkey will be responsible for the engineering support services for this system during installation and commissioning, and the project will be completed by September 2020.
