Oil extraction of Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company has increased by 24,000 barrels per day, said Gholamreza Mofidi, managing director of the company, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian South Oil Company’s website.
Mofidi emphasized that in this regard, 5 new wells were put into operation in the company's oil fields.
He added that Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company has the potential to extract more than 1 million barrels of oil per day from the Ahvaz, Mansouri, Ramin and Abteymour fields.
The director noted that the company's plan on oil extraction was implemented by 100 percent during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020).
According to Mofidi, Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company supplies about 25 percent of Iran's extracted crude oil.
The Ahvaz oil field is located in the Ahvaz county of Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran). The field contains more than 65 billion barrels of oil, of which 37 billion barrels can be extracted. Currently, the field extracts about 700,000 barrels of oil per day. Currently, the field extracts about 700,000 barrels of oil per day.
The Mansouri oil field is located in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran). The field contains a total of 3.3 billion barrels of crude oil and produces 100,000 barrels of oil per day.
Iran's Ramin oil field is located in Khuzestan Province. The field contains 7.39 billion barrels of oil, of which 1.11 billion barrels can be extracted. The field produces about 2,000 barrels of oil per day. The development of this field was transferred to the Iranian Persia Oil and Gas Industry Development Company.
Iran's Abteymour oil field is located in the Ahvaz county of Khuzestan Province. The field contains 15.2 billion barrels of oil and extracts about 60,000 barrels of oil per day.
