Another unit of Iran's Dalaho power plant to be commissioned

The second 310-megawatt gas unit of the Dalaho Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant will be commissioned in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) on September 3, Trend report citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, 109 million euro was spent on the construction of this unit.

“The purpose of the construction of this station is to increase electricity production in western Iran, to ensure electricity consumption in the region and to export electricity to neighboring countries,” the report said.

The Dalaho Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant consists of 2 units (310 megawatt gas units) and one 293-megawatt steam unit, according to the report.

If the plant is fully operational, it will produce 913 megawatt hours of electricity, the report added.

According to the report, the steam unit of the plant will be commissioned in the spring of next year.

“With the full operational of the plant, 500 people will be employed,” the report noted.

Dalaho Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant is being built with the investment from the Farab construction engineering company. The total construction cost of the station is 365 million euro. Of these funds, 219 million euro belongs to the gas sector and 146 million euro to the steam sector.

The first gas unit of Dalaho Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant was commissioned on December 10, 2019.
