Drilling at Azerbaijan’s Garadagh and Galmaz fields was temporarily suspended this year, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.
The decision was made due to the reduced need to increase the capacity of Garadagh and Galmaz gas storages and SOCAR’s aim to optimize the capital investment, reads the report released by SOCAR.
As for the 2019 results, the Integrated Drilling Trust started drilling two wells at Galmaz field and commissioned three wells.
Gulf Drilling Supply FZE began drilling four wells at that field and commissioned three of the four planned wells.
Drilling works at the well #597 has been finalized and the well is under development.
