The construction of a new oil refinery in the Bandar Abbas County of Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) has begun, the Commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters, Saeed Mohammad said, Trend reports citing Young Journalists Club (YJC).
According to Mohammad, this refinery will provide additional support to the refineries of the South Pars Gas Company (SPGC).
He added that the refinery will have the potential to process 120,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.
The commander emphasized the refinery is being built with an investment of $460 million by the private sector.
Mohammad noted that the plant will be launched in the next two years.
