Renewable energy power plant to be launched in Iran

The first unit of the Mil Nader wind turbine power plant will be launched in the Zabol County of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) by the end of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021), Deputy Minister of Energy of Iran, Head of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization Mohammad Satkin said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The official emphasized that 30 megawatt-hours of electricity will be generated with the launch of this unit.

Satkin added that a total of 50 megawatt-hours of electricity will be generated with the full launch of the wind turbine power plant.

“The electricity generation capacity of wind turbine power plants in Iran amounted to 302 megawatt-hours in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (from September 22 through October 21, 2020),” he noted.
