CNPC intends to expand cooperation with Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas

The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) intends to expand cooperation with Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern in the future, in particular, to strengthen ties in the field of exploration and development of oil and gas resources and the petrochemical industry, said Director of CNPC International Turkmenistan Li Shuliang, Trend reports with reference to “SNF.Seqodnya” (CIS.Today) information portal.

CNPC International Turkmenistan has drilled about 170 wells in the country, built 2 gas processing plants with an annual capacity of 17 billion cubic meters, and created 22,000 workplaces for residents during the years of cooperation.

Currently, the company provides engineering services in the fields of Galkynysh and West Joramergen.

CNPC has been implementing projects in Turkmenistan since 2002, in particular, the work consists of investments in the oil and gas industry and the provision of engineering and technical services in oil and gas fields.

Since 2007, the company has been carrying out construction work on the contractual territory of Bagtyyarlyk based on a production sharing agreement, and in 2009 the holding company commissioned the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline.

CNPC 's investments are also directed to the development of culture, medical services, and education in Turkmenistan. special attention is paid to assistance to persons with disabilities.
