Kazakhstan crude oil, petroleum products export volume to EAEU decreases

Kazakhstan has exported 53,812 tons of crude oil including gas condensate worth $12.1 million to Russia over the period from Jan. through Oct. 2020, Trend reports citing the data of Eurasian Economic Commission.

The report said that this is 12.5 percent less in volume and 40.3 percent less in value than during the same period of last year.

Furthermore, during the reporting period of 2020, Kazakhstan has also exported petroleum products worth $74.3 million to Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries, which is 40.8 percent less than during the same period of last year.

Thus, some 62,158 tons of petroleum products worth $19.9 million were exported to Russia, 93,816 tons worth $21.9 million tons to Kyrgyzstan, and 31,555 tons worth 8.7 million tons to Belarus.

Kazakhstan has also exported 44.6 million liters of liquefied petroleum products worth $22.6 million to Kyrgyzstan during the reporting period, as well as 1.8 million liters worth $377,406 to Russia and 1.5 million liters worth $561,271 to Belarus.

In turn, natural and liquefied gas exports from Kazakhstan to EAEU member-countries amounted to $157.7 million, which indicates a decrease of 24.8 percent.

Thus, 141,309 tons worth $17.2 million were exported to Russia, 22,090 tons worth $5.6 million to Kyrgyzstan, and 5,982 tons worth $1.6 million to Belarus.

During the reporting period, Kazakhstan has also exported 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural and liquefied gas worth $105.1 million to Russia, as well as 188.8 million cubic meters worth $28.1 million to Kyrgyzstan.

The report said that during the reporting period Kazakhstan has also exported 1.1 billion kWh of electricity for a total of $12.45 million, which is 11.5 percent less in volume and 42.8 percent less in value.

Some 864.6 million kWh worth $12.44 million were exported to Russia, whereas 300,659 kWh worth 9,377 were exported to Kyrgyzstan.
