Iran's PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO) is developing Siri, Mansourabad and Binak oil fields in Iran, the CEO of company Sepehr Sepehri told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to the Sepehri, these fields are being developed as part of a plan to maintain and increase extraction from 28 oil fields in Iran.

He added that at present, there is 40-percent progress in the development of Iran's Siri oil field. As a result of this development, daily 10,000-12,000 barrels of crude oil will be added to the extraction potential from this field.

The CEO noted that furthermore, there is a 10-percent progress in the work carried out in the Mansourabad field for 6 months. According to the plan, daily 18,000-20,000 barrels of crude oil will be added to the extraction potential from this field with the spending of 75 million euro over 24 months.

Sepehri emphasized that 75 million euro will be spent to increase extraction from the Binak oil field. The work will be completed within 30 months and extraction will increase by 14,000 barrels per day.

The Siri C reservoirs of the Sivand field in the Persian Gulf and the Siri E reservoirs of the Esfand field in Iran are called the Siri field.

It is planned that 4 new wells will be drilled, 6 wells re-drilled and 3 wells repaired in Siri fields. About 105 million euro will be spent on this field. In total, about 98,000 barrels of crude oil are extracted daily from fields around the Siri Island.

The Mansourabad field in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) contains about 3.7 billion barrels of crude oil reserves. As reported, 10,000 barrels of crude oil are extracted daily from this field.

The Binak field in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) contains 2.89 billion barrels of crude oil reserves. At present, Iran extracts about 55,000 barrels of crude oil from the field per day.
