Pump and compressor pipe repair site of Russia’s Tatneft branch in Turkmenistan started operating in Turkmenistan’s Balkanabat city with the assistance of Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern, Trend reports with reference to Tatneft.
The repair of pump and compressor pipes allows to reduce investment costs, involve unused assets in the process of oil production, increase the inter-repair period of wells by reducing failures due to leaky pipes.
The site includes stages of washing, turning and turning of the couplings, inspection and threading, hydraulic testing of the tubing, marking and output control. To date, the capacity of the site is up to 12 pipes per hour, if necessary, it can be doubled without additional capital costs, says the report.
The launch of the tubing repair section was a new step in expanding the range of oilfield services provided by Tatneft in Turkmenistan. The geological and technological measures carried out at the wells of Turkmennebit State Concern allowed to produce more than 300,000 tons of oil.
Currently, Tatneft's branch already provides services to Turkmennebit SC for major repairs and improvement of oil recovery of wells, as well as for the repair of electric submersible installations.
As reported, Russian Tatneft oil company has signed an additional agreement with Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern to carry out service work to increase the flow rate of oil wells at the oil fields of Goturdepenebit oil and gas production department.
The new agreement confirms the intention of the companies to continue working together until 2028 and the use of Tatneft technologies in the field of oil production intensification within the field development.
The work program includes oil fields in addition to those where Tatneft implemented its technologies from 2011 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2020.
Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern and Tatneft Company that belongs to Russia’s Tatarstan have agreed to expand territories of major oil well repairs.
