Azerbaijan exported 297,197 tons of crude oil worth over $107.6 million to India in January 2021, Trend reports on Feb.23 referring to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the bulletin, in the reporting month, the total volume of Azerbaijan’s oil export was more than 4 million tons, up by 0.7 percent over the year, while the total export value – over $1.3 billion (30 percent decrease compared to January last year). The share of India in the crude oil exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 7.3 percent.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between the two countries made up over $120.7 million, the revenues of Azerbaijan for export to India - $109.2 million, and expenses for importing Indian products – over $11.5 million, said the bulletin.
In 2020, trade turnover between them exceeded $582.7 million, of which more than $456.7 million fell on export from Azerbaijan to India, and over $125.9 million – on import of Indian products by Azerbaijan.
