KazTransOil completes connecting newly constructed sections to Uzen-Atyrau-Samara pipeline

Kazakhstan’s KazTransOil JSC has completed work on connecting the newly constructed sections of the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara oil trunk pipeline after reconstruction, Trend reports citing the company.

In order to connect the replaced sections of the pipeline with a total length of 14 km, a planned stop of the oil pipeline for 72 hours was required. All technical work was completed in a timely manner, in compliance with the requirements of industrial safety and labor protection.

The replacement of the section of the «Uzen-Atyrau-Samara» main oil pipeline was carried out in accordance with the business plan of KazTransOil JSC for 2020-2024 and is aimed at ensuring reliable and trouble-free oil transportation.

Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline is the second largest export of Kazakh oil to the world market. Oil is delivered via the Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline and further via the Transneft OJSC system to the Ust-Luga Baltic terminal and the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.

In 2020, 14.4 million tons of Kazakh oil were transported through the Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline.

KazTransOil JSC is the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the main oil pipeline. It is included in the group of NC KazMunayGas JSC. It owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines with a length of 5,400 km.
