Construction of high-voltage line of station underway at Uzbek TTP

Talimarjon Thermal Power Plant JSC in Uzbekistan is implementing an investment project for the construction of a high-voltage line for the Sogdiana station and an open distribution plant with a capacity of 500 kW each, Trend reports referring to Dunyo news agency.

The main goal of the project is to improve the reliability and power supply of the southwestern and southern parts of the power system, increase its stability, provide high-quality energy to newly commissioned consumers in the southwestern region of the country, reduce losses in the supply of electricity, as well as increase the efficiency and reliability of power supply to the economy and the population of the Samarkand, Bukhara, Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions of the republic.

It is reported that the total cost of the project is $188.496 million, including the World Bank's funds - $110 million, own funds - $56.758 million, Uzbekistan's share in the project amounts to $21.74 million.

The total length of the high-voltage line amounts to 217.6 kilometers. Some 87 kilometers pass through the territory of the Samarkand region and 130.6 kilometers - the Kashkadarya region.
