As many as 15 facilities related to the water and electricity sectors were launched in the Yazd Province (central Iran) on June 15, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, the facilities were launched in 5 cities of Yazd Province. A total of 6.76 trillion rials (about $161 million) was spent on the construction of these facilities. The facilities were launched in the area of electricity generation and supply, water and sewerage.
“The foundations of 6 water and sewage facilities have been laid in Yazd Province. In total, 57.3 trillion rials (about $1.36 billion) will be spent on these facilities,” the report said.
Reportedly, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian attended the event dedicated to the launch of facilities.
