Azerbaijan discloses gas production volumes at ACG and Shah Deniz

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25

Some 17 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Azerbaijan from January through May 2021, of which 5.4 billion accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields while 8.4 billion cubic meters - Shah Deniz field, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.

At the same time, the growth reached 3.4 percent from January through May 2021 compared to the same period of last year.

In accordance with the report of the Ministry of Energy, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) produced 3.2 billion cubic meters of gas during the reporting period.

As for ACG and Shah Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, the indicators for the production and export of gas were also specified.

Thus, 325 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced as of June 1, 2021 since the commissioning of ACG and Shah Deniz.

In accordance with the report, as of April 1, 182 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from ACG.

The production volume for the reporting period reached 143 billion cubic meters of gas since the commissioning of Shah Deniz field.
