Kazakhstan’s gas supply company increases net profit under IFRS in 1H2021

Kazakhstan’s KazTransGas national operator in the field of gas and gas supply from January through June 2021 received a net profit under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) in the amount of 253.752 billion tenge ($597 million), Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

According to the consolidated financial report of the company, the IFRS net profit of KazTransGas increased 1.7 times compared to the same period in 2020.

It is reported that gross profit increased 1.6 times, to 133.16 billion tenge ($313 million), operating profit - 1.9 times, to 134.167 billion tenge ($315 million).

At the same time, revenue from contracts with buyers decreased by 10.8 percent and amounted to 450.707 billion tenge ($1 billion).

In addition, the company's assets since the beginning of this year have grown by 9.2 percent, to 2.523 trillion. tenge ($6 billion), equity - by 18.3 percent, up to 1.642 trillion tenge ($3.9 billion), the authorized capital did not change and amounted to 417.781 billion tenge ($982 million), liabilities, on the contrary, decreased by 4.5 percent - to 880.352 billion tenge ($2 billion).
