BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. A 10-megawatt solar panel station was put into operation in the Iran’s Kerman Province on May 16, 2022, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.

According to the report, the power plant was built on an area of about 20 hectares and connected to the country's electricity network.

The power plant was built with an investment of 1.8 trillion rials (about $42.8 million) by the country’s private sector.

Also, the plant will transmit about 17.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year to the country's electricity network.

As a result, 3.85 million liters of water and 4.73 million cubic meters of gas will be saved in the country annually.

At the same time, the spread of 9,790 tons of greenhouse gases into the environment will be prevented.

With the launch of the station, 41 people were provided with jobs.
