BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. More than 265 billion cubic meters of sweet gas were supplied from gas refineries to residential, commercial and industrial facilities and power plants in Iran, Executive Director of Iranian Gas Transmission Company, Gholam Abbas Hosseini said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
“On January 6, 2022, 852 million cubic meters of gas were transported inside Iran, which is considered a record figure for gas transportation in the country,” Hosseini noted.
The director said that in order to strengthen gas transportation in Iran, 5 centers were put into operation and 833 kilometers of pipelines were laid in countrywide over the past year. Currently, there are 38,248 km-long gas pipelines and 88 facilities for gas pressure boosting under the control of Iranian Gas Transmission Company.
He also added that 10 turbines were added to the gas pressure boosting facilities, as well as a number repair works were carried out for the reporting period.
