BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 1. Overall, Iran's Eslamabad-e-Gharb Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) generated over 469 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.

“Meanwhile, in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2022 through January 20, 2023) alone, the power plant generated approximately 35 million kilowatt-hours of electricity,” Mirza Asghari noted.

The director added that of the generated electricity for the 10th month, 34.8 million kilowatt-hours were supplied to the country’s electricity network.

Iran’s Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP has 4 gas units, each of which can generate 25 megawatt-hours of electricity.

In total, the power generation capacity of Iran's TPPs is currently 73,086 hours. So far, 605 units have been installed in 134 thermal power plants in the country.

At present, the power generation capacity of combined cycle units in the country's TPPs is 34,699 megawatt-hours, gas units - 22,558 megawatt-hours, and steam units - 15,829 megawatt-hours.
