BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. A total of 6.06 million tons of crude were transported through the Turkish ports from January through March 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
During the reporting period, 215,957 tons of crude oil were transported via the ships flying the Turkish flag, while over 5.8 million tons of crude oil were carried by ships flying the flags of other countries.
Furthermore, a total of 11.3 million tons of crude oil were transported via the Turkish ports from January through March 2023.
Overall, the Turkish ports received 91.5 million tons of cargo from January through March 2023.
In the reporting period, the ships flying the Turkish flag carried 6.4 million tons of cargo, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries transported 85.08 million tons.
Meanwhile, the Turkish ports totally handled 18.3 million tons of transit cargo.
