BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. Azerbaijan produced 20.3 million tons of oil (including condensate) from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) amounted to 12.1 million tons, Shah Deniz 2.9 million tons, and 90,000 tons of oil were extracted from the Absheron field. Oil production by the State Oil Company amounted to 5.2 million tons.
During the reporting period, exports accounted for 17 million tons of oil (including condensate), 15 million tons of which were exported by consortia and two million tons by SOCAR.
In general, 622.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 412.3 billion cubic meters of gas have been extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields since the beginning of operation. In addition, 579 million tons of oil and 212 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from the ACG field. Moreover, 43.2 million tons of condensate and 200.3 billion cubic meters of gas were produced at Shah Deniz. Exports amounted to 620.2 million tons of oil and 141.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
Oil processing in Azerbaijan amounted to 4.2 million tons from January through August 2023.
