BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. The production of Iran’s Shazand Petrochemical Company increased by 0.8 percent, during the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), compared to the plan, Trend reports.
The company's data sheet says it produced 795,548 tons of petrochemical products in 6 months, while the initially set target was 789,548 tons.
In the first half the last Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), the company produced approximately 758,000 tons of petrochemical products.
On average, Iran's Shazand Petrochemical Company produces 306,000 tons of ethylene, 124,000 tons of propylene, 85,000 tons of heavy polyethylene, 85,000 tons of light polyethylene and other products per year.
Currently, Iran has an annual petrochemical production capacity of 92 million tons, which is expected to increase to 95 million tons by the end of the current year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).
