BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. In 2023, Fluxys Belgium recorded a turnover of EUR 592.8 million, marking a decrease of EUR 319.8 million compared to the previous year's turnover of EUR 912.6 million, Trend reports via the company.

This decline aligns with the tariff methodology, with the absence of the exceptional solidarity contribution of EUR 300 million seen in 2022, leading to no revenue impact in 2023.

The consolidated net profit also experienced a decrease from EUR 83.7 million in 2022 to EUR 77.4 million in 2023, reflecting a drop of EUR 6.3 million. This reduction in net profit primarily stems from the decrease in the fair margin outlined in the tariff methodology for the LNG terminal.

Based in Belgium, Fluxys is a fully independent infrastructure group with 1,300 employees engaged in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling. The company operates an extensive network of 28,000 km of pipelines spanning Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Fluxys manages liquefied natural gas terminals in Belgium, France, Greece, and Chile, boasting a total annual regasification capacity of 380 TWh. Additionally, the company operates an underground gas storage facility in Loenhout, Belgium, contributing to its role as a key player in the energy infrastructure sector.
