SOCAR announces a tender on purchase of oil tanker from Batumi
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced a tender on sale of profitable oil tanker from Georgian Batumi port. The tender was announced on sale of 80,000 tons (60,000 barrel) of Azeri Light oil, produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field, SOCAR told Trend.
The oil is expected to be shipped from Batumi from 21 to 22 February, SOCAR said. Closing of tender is scheduled for 26 January.
The Batumi oil terminal is capable to ship around 15m tons of oil products per year. The terminal serve tankers with dead-weight ranging from 30,000 to 90,000 tons, including, buoy for vessels of Aframax class. Capability of reservoir tank storage comprises approximately 530,000 tons that is sufficient for shipment of current and forecasted volumes through the corridor.
