The Azerigaz Joint Stock Company (JSC) completed preparation the program on the Baku villages gas supply improvement within the implementation of the general program On improvement of social conditions in Baku villages, the JSC head Alihan Melikov said, Trend reports.
The JSC program has been currently submitted to the countrys government for approval. The project costs about 111 billion AZM. By preliminary estimations, Azerigaz will allocate about 29 billion AZM for providing these settlements with gas. The remaining part will be funded by the state budget.
The project implementation will finish in 2007. Gas compressor stations for raising pressure of the gas supplied, main pipelines and the required control equipment will be constructed. Gas supply of these villages is at a very low level now.
