Turkey won't let raise oil transportations though straits of Bosporus and Dardanelles expert with Global Union Energy

Turkey is committed to its environmental security policy and wont let increase oil transportation from Black Sea through straits of Bosporus and Dardanelles, reportedly said Ardich Durdu, CEO for Caspian and Black Sea regions, Global Union Energy, speaking in Baku at В"Sustainable development of oil&gas operations in Caspian SeaВ" conference.

He said 31km long and 688 to 1,500m wide Bosporus Strait is one of the most geographically dangerous locations of the world.

В"During 2006, 10,000 tankers passed Turkish straits, that is one tanker in 15-20 minutesВ", - he said.

Turkish expert also sounded Turkish governments decision restricting passage of vessels longer than 200m at night. В"Vessels passage in winter is limited as wellВ", - he said.
