The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export oil pipeline will give an impetus to Turkeys economic within 16 years. Trend special correspondent reports from Turkey quoting popular Turkish specialist on international energy problems, Nejdet Pamir.
According to Nejdet, vital activity of the project is calculated for 40 years and the major impetus to Turkeys economy after 16-year stage. The second stage to last 24 years will be very profitable.
Kazakhstans joining to the project will play essential role in it, which will enable to increase Turkeys revenues from the project. The oil transport flow by tankers which poses danger for Istanbuls ecology will reduce 25%.
Along with positive milestones, Pamir also touched upon possible threats on the country from BTC. He in particular, the strengthening of attention towards centers of world globalization towards Turkey and their possible will to interfere the processes developing in the region. On the other hand, he urged that the pressures can also be expected from the part of countries with interests suffered from the implementation of the project.
