In January 2007, the Oil and Gas Production Union Azerneft of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 0,658 bln tons of oil, a decrease of 0,2% from the same period of 2006, Trend reports.
In January the largest volume of the gas production has been achieved by OGPU 28 May which develops the shallow part of the field Guneshli вЂ" 0,462 mln of oil, a decrease of 2,7% from the same period of last year.
The smallest gas production is observed on onshore field Muradckanli. Over the period of January 2007, 20,000 tons of oil were produced there, a decrease of 24,2% from last year.
